  • Monitoring: Watch the espresso as it’s being extracted. It should form a rich, dark liquid with a layer of crema on top. The extraction time is usually around 25-30 seconds for a standard espresso shot.
  • Serve: Once the extraction is complete, the espresso is ready to be served. Pour it into a pre-warmed espresso cup.
